Acevedo, 28, thinks his career is at a crossroads. Traded from Cincinnati to the Rockies 11 months ago, he was taken off the Rockies' 40-man big-league roster last fall. There were enough questions that he is on a minor-league contract, which limits the Rockies' financial responsibility and assures that if they want Acevedo to go to Class AAA Colorado Springs he will.
